Beer - the People´s Choice

BEER, the drink of the common people for more than 7000 years, in popularity only surpassed by water and tea. Again, like with wine, we Europeans can thank the monks for the brewing and distribution of beer up through the ages - and the Bavarian Duke William IV who established the purity laws of 1516 that only allows water, hops and barley-malte as ingredients of beer.
